The Heideggers are a group of phenomenologists who, following the writings of Martin Heidegger, see the world as an indifferent and incomprehensible place, where the best solution is to follow one’s goals under the knowledge that death is certain and life is meaningless. The Heideggers attempt to uncover what lies beneath everyday experience. For them, the analysis of a person’s roles and purposes has more benefit than studying how people reference objects.
